The SPIEVY z-pad mosta choir was founded by a group of friends who began meeting under the Świętokrzyski Bridge in Warsaw in the spring of 2023. The initiative was led by artist Karalina Palyakova and Rusya—a vocal therapist, singer in Šuma (etno-electronic duo).
The choir presently consists of nearly 20 women in emigration. In our first year, we organized over 30 public performances and recreated several ancient Belarusian rituals, such as the “Burial of the Arrow,” Koliada (“Shchedryk”), and Kupala Night.
